America through the Cultural Study of Her Pastimes, Folklore, and Antiques

Here, I document my journey through the American past through the cultural study of its pastimes (leisure/hobbies) and folklore.   In particular, I will page through Ephemeral Literature of past decades and centuries alongside my rummaging through small town antique stores.

Mostly, I will just post photos.  Occasionally, I will write about interesting curiosities that I come across here and there.

Such "little things" that compose a "sense of place" and its continuity through the generations are the true sources of patriotism (once we put all of the ideology aside in the bucket of bad ideas).

Patriotism is also connected to the concept of "The Land".  Here, I will also blog about the centrality of land and freeholding to the American political tradition of the past, present, and future.  God bless America!
